Film
In 2003, Mohit made his Bollywood debut with Rohit Shetty‘s film ‘Zameen’ in which he played the role of a terrorist.
He appeared as a chief security guard in the film ‘Dhoom 2’ in 2006. His role as ‘Uttam Singh’ in the movie ‘Chak De! India (2007) received immense love from the audience.
Subsequently, he appeared in films including ‘Detective Naani’ (2009), ‘Prince’ (2010), ‘Second Marriage Dot Com’ (2012), ‘Monsoon Shootout’ (2013), ‘War’ (2019), and ‘Khuda Hafiz’ (2020).
Television
Mohit Chauhan made his television debut with the StarPlus’ serial ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (2011) in which he played the role of ‘Madan Chaudhary.’
In 2011, he appeared as ‘King Janaka’ in the epic serial ‘Devo Ke Dev…Mahadev.’ The audience loved him as ‘Haider Jilani’ in the TV series ‘Dahleez’ (2016). Later, he acted in many serials including ‘Sadda Haq’ (2013), ‘Tum Aise Hi Rehna’ (2014), ‘Haasil’ (2017), ‘Naamkaran’ (2018), and ‘Rishton Ka Chakravyuh’ (2017).

In 2019, Mohit appeared in the ALTBalaji’s web series ‘Fittrat’ in which he played the role of ‘Alok Bisht.’
He acted as ‘Mahesh Roy’ in the web series ‘Four More Shots Please!’ In 2020, he played the role of ‘Farhad Alqaazi’ in the web series ‘Bebaakee.’ He appeared in the Amazon mini-TV series ‘Rakshak’ in 2023.
