– NAOC JV Tertiary Scholarship –
The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Operator of the NNPC/NAOC Joint Venture) is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into their NAOC JV Tertiary Scholarship for undergraduate programmes. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students.
About NAOC JV Tertiary Scholarship
The NNPC joint venture scholarship is one of the most prestigious rewards for tertiary students. Undergraduate students can take advantage of the scholarship program to help support their studies.
Category of Awards
- Host Communities Merit Award–For applicants strictly from NAOC Host Communities
- National Merit Award–For applicants from Non-Host communities
Requirements/Eligibility
To qualify for consideration, applicants MUST be:
1. Registered Full-Time undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions
2. Certified 100 level students at the time of application (Only students admitted in 2024/2025 academic session)
3. Only Indigenes of NAOC Host Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and the Imo State SHOULD apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
4. Only applicants studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences and Agricultural Science are eligible for the National Merit Award.
The following categories of students should not apply:
- 200 level students and above
- Current beneficiaries of similar awards from other Companies and Agencies
- Dependants of NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA

Registration Requirements for NAOC JV Tertiary Scholarship
Before you start this application, ensure you have clearly scanned copies of the following documents:
1. Passport photograph with a white background not over 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)
2. School ID Card
3. O’level Certificate
4. Admission Letter
5. Birth Certificate
6. Proof of Local Government Area of Origin
7. Letter from Community Paramount Ruler (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award)
8. Letter from CDC Chairman (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award).
9. JAMB Result
Note
1. Ensure the documents are named according to what they represent to avoid mixing up documents during upload
2. Ensure you attach the documents when asked to upload
3. Ensure to provide valid email and Phone Contact for effective communication
How to Apply
To apply, follow the steps below:
1. Click on the “Apply Now” tab.
2. Click on “Register Now” to create an account.
3. Proceed to your email box to activate your account
4. Click on www.Scholastica.ng/schemes/no scholarships to return to the Scholarship site
5. Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
6. Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information and upload required scanned documents.
7. Ensure the name used in the application matches the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
8. Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during . When asked to upload a photo, a passport photograph with a white background is preferable.
9. Recheck application information to avoid errors
10. Click “Apply Now” to submit information
11. You will receive an email and an SMS that confirms your application was successful.
Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your Email and Password to download your profile and have your Head of Department sign the document.
Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification.
Note:
1. The aptitude test will take place at designated centres to be communicated to applicants on a later date and applicants are to fully bear the cost of transportation to and from Aptitude test centres.
2. Multiple applications attract a disqualification from the Scholarship board
3. Obtaining NIN is not compulsory in order to complete your application.
