About NABTEB
The National Business and Technical Examinations Board were established in 1992 to domesticate craft level examinations which were hitherto conducted by City & Guilds, Pittman’s, and Royal Society of Arts all, of UK, in accordance with the provisions of the National Policy on Education.
Its establishment was the climax of an evolutionary process that spanned 15 years from 1977 to 1992, and in which FOUR Government Panels at different times were set up to review the place and structure of public examinations in Nigeria’s education system.
The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) under Decree 70 of 1993, and other examination bodies were thus established.
Since its establishment, the findings of the Etsu Nupe Panel (1997), the Shonekan Vision 2010 (1997) Report, and the harmonized Report of the Etsu Nupe Panel and Vision 2010 reports have supported, directly and indirectly, NABTEB’s existence.
The National Headquarters of the Board is located at Ikpoba Hill, P. M. B. 1747, Benin City, Edo State.
General Qualification/Requirements
Applicants applying for the National Business and Technical Examinations Board Recruitment must possess any of the following
- Possession of B.Sc, , , OND in relation to the applied position from a recognized institution.
- Any added certificate either postgraduate or professional certification will be of advantage.
- NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
- West African School Certificate (WAEC) or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) with Credits in not less than three (3) subjects including English and at least passes in two (2) other subjects.
- Candidates must have National Examination Council (NECO)/General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary Level with passes in four (4) subjects obtained at one sitting or five (5) subjects obtained at two sittings including the English Language.)
- (ND) obtained from a recognized institution. National Certificate of Education (NCE) from a recognized institution.
- Must be computer literate.
