Nigerian Navy Recruitment Jobs Positions and Requirements

The Nigeria Navy wishes to inform the general public and all interested candidates that the online registration for the 2021 Recruitment Exercise is officially open. Thus, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions below:

1. A 1 – Marine Engineer Artificer (MEA)

Minimum of OND Lower Credit in Marine or Mechanical Engineering is required. And 5 credits at SSCE or equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are required.

2. A2 – Weapon Electrical Artificers (WEA)

Minimum of OND Lower Credit in Electrical Electronic Engineering is required. And 5 credits at SSCE or equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are required.

3. A3 – Aircraft Engineering Artificers (Airframe Engine) Qualification

A diploma in Airframe and Engine certified/recognized by ICAO is needed. And 5 credits at SSCE or equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are needed.

4. A4 – Aircraft Engineering Artificers (Avionics & Aircraft Electrics, Electrical / Electronics) (AEA-AA/EEE)

A certificate/Diploma in Aircraft Electrics & Avionics recognized by ICAO is required. And 5 credits at SSCE or equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are required.

5. A5 – Hull Engineer Artificers (HEA)

Minimum of OND Lower Credit in Marine or Mechanical Engineering is required. And 5 credits at SSCE or equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are required.

6. B1 – Marine Engineer Mechanics (MEM)

SSCE or equivalent with 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry is required. Also, intermediate City & Guilds or Trade Test II could be considered. Also, technical bias will be an advantage.

7. B2 – Weapon Electrical Mechanics (WEM)

SSCE or equivalent with 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry is required. Also, intermediate City & Guilds or Trade Test II could be considered. Additionally, technical bias will be an advantage.

8. B3 – Hull Mechanical/Fitters (HMF)

Requirements as in B1 and B2 with additional trade in plumbing, welding, machining, or woodwork are required.

9. B4 – Automobile Mechanics (AM)

Requirements as in B1 are required.

10. B5 – Dockyard Mechanics (DM)

Requirements as in B1 are required.

General Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants applying for the recruitment must possess any of the following:

Possession of B.Sc, , , OND concerning the applied position from a recognized institution.

Any added certificate either postgraduate or professional certification will be of advantage.

NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

West African School Certificate (WAEC) with Credits in not less than three (3) subjects including English and at least passes in two (2) other subjects.

Candidates must have National Examination Council (NECO) with passes in four (4) subjects obtained at one sitting or five (5) subjects obtained at two sittings including the English Language.)

(ND) obtained from a recognized institution.

National Certificate of Education (NCE) from a recognized institution.

All candidates must have a valid means of identification such as a valid driver’s license, National Identification Card, International passport, Voters card etc.

Ability to work with basic computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).

Geographical mobility within and outside Nigeria.
