In Nottingham, England, there is a public institution called Nottingham Trent University (NTU). Trent Polytechnic was converted into a new university and established in 1992. (later Nottingham Polytechnic).
Its foundation was laid in 1843 with the founding of the university’s current home of the Nottingham Government School of Design.
