Otho Davis Scholarship Foundation
The Otho Davis Scholarship Foundation will yearly distribute scholarships in accordance with Otho Davis’s desires.
He outlined the following desires and requirements, which define the foundation’s mission:
A graduate student with a concentration in sports medicine, physical training, or sports marketing will be awarded a scholarship.
The grant will be determined by a comprehensive evaluation of merit and financial need by the foundation’s Board of Trustees.
The candidate must either attend school in Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, or northern Delaware, or reside there.
The granted scholarship will be transferred directly to the student’s institution and must be utilized within five years after award acceptance.”
Two graduate students will get $20,000 each in scholarships.
Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate a considerable financial need and disclose their existing total school debt.
The application will not be evaluated if this information is not addressed. Typically, a letter from the financial aid office will sufficient.
Finalists for a scholarship may be required to present evidence of total educational debt. Contact us or apply online if you are interested in applying for the annual Otho Davis scholarship.

The application for the scholarship must include the following material:
1. An introductory letter written by the candidate, introducing him/herself and explaining his/her current curriculum and professional goals.
2. The letter should include a brief background and provide the trustees with a flavor of the individual and his/her experiences and long-term goals.
3. A resume reflecting the standard education and work history, but should also include any extra curricular activities and service projects in which they have participated. Service work is very important.
4. A letter of recommendation from the Dean of the school in which the student is enrolled. Please include GPA.
The decision will be made by October 25, 2022, and the winning applicant will be notified via communication directly to the school.
The scholarship recipients will be introduced at our Annual Awards Event which will take place on November 16, 2022 at the Marriott Old City (formerly Sheraton Society Hill).
