Playford Trust Honors Scholarship is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the Flinders University.
About Flinders University
Flinders University is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Founded in 1966, it was named in honor of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century.
The Playford Trust in collaboration with the Adelaide Branch of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), offer three Minerals Industry scholarships annually.

The scholarships are valued at $9,000.00.

Requirements for Playford Trust Honours Scholarship
1. Students are Australian citizens or a holder of permanent resident visas and are South Australian residents who are likely to further their careers in the South Australian minerals industry or are likely to benefit the State.
2. Students are high achievers with excellent undergraduate academic records.
3. Students are of good character with preference given to students who display leadership potential.
4. Students considering further studies/research post-Honors are encouraged to apply.
5. Students should not concurrently hold any other major scholarship, although this does not preclude the submission of an application.
6. The scholarship holders must maintain full-time enrolment in the Bachelor of Science Honors degree, the Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering (Mineral Processing), or Environmental Engineering degree with major studies or a research project relevant to the minerals industry and apply for Student Membership of the AusIMM.
