QuestBridge is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into their QuestBridge Scholarship for undergraduate programmes. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students.

About QuestBridge Scholarship

QuestBridge is a scholarship program in the United States that strives to help low-income students from all walks of life. As a result, the QuestBridge award is one of the greatest need-based high school scholarships available. QuestBridge is, as you might expect, a highly competitive scholarship.

How Does QuestBridge Work?

The QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship allows high-achieving, low-income students to rank 10 to 12 colleges that they would be interested in attending. Students who are finalists will “match” with one of these institutions and receive a “full-ride” of financial aid.

What is the QuestBridge National College Match? 

The National College Match, administered by QuestBridge, is a college scholarship application process that assists excellent low-income high school seniors in gaining admission and full four-year scholarships to the nation’s most selective universities.

QuestBridge offers the National College Match grant in collaboration with 40 top colleges and universities across the United States. With no parental contribution and no student loans, the scholarship covers the total cost of attendance for each college, including tuition, housing and board, travel expenses, and books and supplies.

The scholarship may, however, require student participation as work-study or student savings.

Who Is Eligible for QuestBridge?

High school seniors can take part in the QuestBridge National College Match. That means you must graduate from high school before the summer of 2020 and plan to enrol as a first-year college student in the fall of 2020 to apply to QuestBridge in the fall of 2019.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, or high school students attending high school in the United States, regardless of citizenship. It’s vital to know that not all college partners will consider non-US nationals or students who aren’t permanent residents if you fall into the latter group.

Academic Achievement

A high level of academic is also a determination of eligibility for QuestBridge. Successful applicants that have academic profiles that meet or exceed the admission standards of the partner colleges.

Past Finalists have obtained:

1. Primarily A’s in the most challenging courses available (usually including Honors, AP, or IB level courses)

2. SAT or PSAT scores over 1310

3. ACT composite scores above 28

4. Class rank in the top 5-10% of the graduating class

5. Evidence of strong writing ability, intellectual spark, and determination through essays and recommendation letters.

QuestBridge Scholarship Financial Need

QuestBridge finalists generally come from households earning less than $65,000 a year for a family of four.

This includes all sources of family income, including rental income, retirement distributions, and child support.

How Do I Apply for QuestBridge?

Interested and eligible rising seniors should begin gathering materials to apply to QuestBridge National College Match the before their senior year. This includes:

1. National College Match’s online application, which includes two essays and quick answer questions

2. Two letters of recommendation from teachers in core academic subjects

3. A Secondary School Report from your high school counsellor

4. A School Profile (optional, but recommended)

5. A high school

6. Any standardized test scores. SAT and/or ACT test scores are highly recommended.
