German Universities is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarship for students. It is a fully-funded scholarship for all students.

 

About Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarship

The Rosa-Luxemburg-Scholarship Stiftung’s Department grants Masters and PhD scholarships to highly qualified overseas students who aspire to study in Germany. Individuals that demonstrate a high level of social and political participation should be considered.

Students from all over the world attend. Women, students from non-academic and migrant backgrounds, the socially disadvantaged, and we give individuals with disabilities with achievement and preference.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions

For international students, the scholarship is as a living allowance for the duration of the typical study program period. International students’ tuition fees are not covered.

The Scholarship Department of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung provides a wide range of support to researchers, including political education events and summer schools, seminars held both domestically and internationally, symposia, and educational tours.

It also offers practical training in areas like rhetoric, conflict resolution, and other key skills, time management and self-management, academic qualification enhancement, text and writing workshops, and method-specific seminars.

Eligibility

The Scholarship Department awards grants to foreign students (MA only) and PhD students who are temporarily residing in Germany for study or research purposes. The requirements are:

1. German language proficiency (B2 level or above)

2. MA Students must be enrolled at a state or state-recognized German university

3. PhD students must be accepted at a German university

4. Graduate students pursuing their MA, Diploma, or State Examination in Germany, or doctoral students doing a PhD or doctoral research in Germany, can apply for scholarships for MA and doctoral students from Egypt, Libya, Lebanon, Tunisia, Yemen, Jordan, Morocco, and Iraq.

The selection criteria are:

High scholarly and professional qualifications (proof of above-average academic achievement at school and/or university)

Political and social engagement in line with the aims of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung

German language proficiency (B2 level or above).

Application Deadline for Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Scholarship

The application deadline is 1 October for grants beginning in the summer semester of the following year (1 April) or 1 April for grants beginning in the winter semester of the same year (1 October).
