The management of Samuel Adegboyega University, SAU has released the cut-off marks for the 2024/2025 academic session admission exercise.
There are certain criteria to be observed by students before being admitted to study in any of the courses in any university. One of these includes meeting the required cut off mark for each school’s as well as the courses themselves.
It is very easy to obtain admission if one has met the required cut off mark for admission into a particular course.
Cut off mark is an agreed score set by a particular institution as basic of admitting students into the department of study.
This score is usually accredited to candidates based on their performance in a particular examination. However, students who have scored above the required cut off mark will be given admission and preferentially treated in the admission process above those who have met the exact cut off mark.

Samuel Adegboyega University (SAU) is located in , , . It was founded by and named after Pastor .
The institution received licence from the National Universities Commission on Monday March 7, 2011 as the 45th Private and 117th overall in the Nigerian university system
In the spring of 2015, there were rumors that the university was listed for de-accreditation, though this was denied by the university’s vice-chancellor.
In August 2015, however, the commission announced that the university had failed to meet the benchmarks set to achieve accreditation
The inaugural class, consisting of 58 students, graduated in September 2015.
On 30 May 2018, the Vice-Chancellor of Samuel Adegboyega University, reiterated that all 14 academic programs presented to the National Universities Commission in 2016 were given full accreditation.
Also, on August 31, 2018, The National Universities Commission approved 13 postgraduate programs for Samuel Adegboyega University with effect from the 2018/2019 Academic Session.

Brief Bio of Pastor Samuel Adegboyega
Born into a royal family from in , , Nigeria, Adegboyega attended Methodist High School, Abeokuta where he completed his secondary education.
He got employed at the and rose through the ranks to become station master before he became a full-time Christian minister at a Methodist church in 1916.
Until in 1920 when he joined The Precious Stone Church which later affiliated with Faith Tabernacle Congregation, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
Apostolic Church Days
During the revival that took place in 1930 at the Nigerian chapter of Faith Tabernacle Congregation, Adegboyega was adopted as a member of the Apostolic Church, a Christian group from who was invited by Faith Tabernacle during the revival.
He later became one of the central figures who helped spread The Apostolic Church in Nigeria throughout the country and beyond after a split by secessionists who founded in 1941.
Pastor Samuel Adegboyega Personal Life
He was married to Felicia Adegboyega née Olowe with whom he had five children.
Recognition
During the celebration of Nigeria’s independence in 1960, he was conferred with the national honor of (MON).
In 2011, Samuel Adegboyega University was founded by The Apostolic Church Nigeria in his memory.
Death
He died on October 23, 1979, at the convention ground of The Apostolic Church Nigeria in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Courses and Requirements
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
- Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.
- The candidate must make at least 180 and above pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening by the Samuel Adegboyega University.

SAU Cut off Mark
Samuel Adegboyega University JAMB cut off mark for the 2024/2025 academic session is 160.
Therefore, candidates who score up to 160 are automatically eligible to sit for the institution’s post UTME examination. The higher your JAMB score, the higher your chances of clinching the course registered in your UTME.
Departmental Cut off Mark
Samuel Adegboyega University does not really have a specific cut off mark for courses. However, candidates who have scored a minimum of 160 in the UTME examination are eligible to apply for admission into any of their choice courses.
