1. Peterson’s $2,500 Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is for current civilian federal employees and their dependent family members (spouse/child). The applicant or the applicant’s sponsoring federal employee must have at least three (3) years of civilian federal service by the application deadline.

 

Also, the applicant must be at least a college freshman by the fall semester. This is one of the scholarships for government employee children.

➢ Amount: $265,280.
➢ Requirements: The applicant must be an undergraduate student. Also, must be a graduate student or a postgraduate student.
Additionally, must attend a university. A four-year college. Two-year college or a vocational-tech school. Also, must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

2. Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) Scholarship Program

This scholarship is for children, step-children, and legal dependents of full- or part-time permanent federal civilian or postal workers.
Those employed with the federal government for more than three years. Also, the employees themselves and their spouses. This is one of the scholarships for government employee children.

➢ Scholarship Amount:$1,000 to $5,000.
➢ Requirements: Complete high school or college transcripts (unofficial transcripts accepted). Also, one academic, professional, or community member recommendation. Additionally, an essay. Also, a list of community service, awards, and extracurricular activities. And a copy of the federal employee sponsor’s current SF-50. However, not required for retired NARFE members.

3. Doc Cook Scholarship

This is an aspect of the FEEA scholarships. It administers the Doc Cooke Scholarship to at least one applicant each year. Also, the scholarship is a tribute to David O. Cooke. Also, it’s for his 50 years of service to his community of federal employees.
➢ Award Amount: It’s between $1,000 and $3,000.
➢ Requirements: Applicants need only apply to FEEA. Also, a major requirement is that you must be a government employee’s child.

4. ESA Youth Scholarship Program

This scholarship is available for U.S. high school seniors. Those who have a parent/guardian who is a full-time, active employee of the police, sheriff’s, or fire department.
Also, the student must be 15 to 20 years of age. This is one of the scholarships for government employee children.

5. Georgia Electronic Life Safety and Systems Association Scholarship

This award is based on a combination of academic achievement, national test scores, extracurricular participation, and the essay.
Also, the score is based on the following: Grade average, 25 points; SAT/ACT scores, 30 points; essay, 25 points; academic prizes, awards, hobbies, school and outside extracurricular activities, 20 points.

6. AHEPA George Leber Scholarship

The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) is one of the largest Greek-American organizations.

Its mission is to promote Hellenism. Also, to promote education. And philanthropy, civic responsibility, family, and individual excellence.

 

However. Four auxiliaries form the AHEPA family. They are the AHEPA Family, The Daughters of Penelope, The Sons of Pericles, and Maids of Athena.

 

Also, the scholarship is administered by AHEPA’s National Educational Foundation. Furthermore, the foundation was established to promote, encourage, induce and advance education at the college, university, and graduate school level.

 

However, reference will be given to upperclassmen with majors in political science, history, or international relations. This is one of the scholarships for government employee children.

7. Illinois Grant Program for Dependents of Police, Fire, or Correctional Officers

This grant provides assistance toward tuition and mandatory fees. And this is for undergraduate or graduate study at ISAC-approved Illinois colleges.
Also, awards can be used for a maximum of the equivalent of four academic years. And this is of full-time enrollment. 
However, recipients must reapply each year. Furthermore, students should contact the financial aid office at his/her college to determine what portion of the total tuition and fees will be covered by this award.

8. Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers & Firemen Scholarship

This scholarship is offered by the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid. Also, it makes awards on a first-come-first-served basis. And this is according to the level of funding available.

 

Also, the scholarship funds cover the cost of tuition. And it includes the required fees. Also, it covers the average cost of campus housing.

And this is at any state-supported college or university within the state of Mississippi. Also, this is one of the scholarships for government employee children.

9. ABA Public Contract Law Journal Writing Competition

This is one of the scholarships for government employee children. Also, it is sponsored by the American Bar Association Section of Public Contract Law. However, the competition for this will be conducted in two divisions.

 

Each division will be judged separately. Also, separate prizes will be awarded to the winners of each division. Thus: Division 1 is open to candidates for a J.D. degree. And those attending law schools within the United States and its possessions.

 

While Division 2 is open to lawyers under the age of 36 years. Or those admitted to practice less than five years as of Sept. 30. And candidates for an L.L.M. degree attending law schools within the United States and its possessions.

10. Exemption for Children of Disabled or Deceased Firemen, Police Officers, and Other Public Servants

This is one of the scholarships for government employee children. Also, it is sponsored by Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Furthermore, this scholarship is a state program. 
Also, it’s created by the state of Texas. And, it’s established to provide a benefit to the children of persons who have been disabled. Or those killed in the line of duty while serving the community.

11. Julia Ward Howe Scholarship

This scholarship is available for women in Massachusetts who are enrolled in a graduate program for political science. Also, applications will be reviewed for academic merit.

12. 100 Club of Arizona Scholarship

This scholarship is available for U.S. undergraduate students. Also, it’s for those who meet one of the three eligibility classes. These classes are:

1. A beneficiary of the 100 Club of Arizona. Or an immediate family member of a beneficiary.
2. Also, an immediate family member of a member of the eligible class. That is public safety officer or firefighter who was injured or killed in the line of duty.
3. Furthermore, an immediate family member of a member of the eligible class. Who met retirement eligibility of the applicable retirement system.
