Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into their Consolidated Hallmark Essay Competition for students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students.
About Consolidated Hallmark Essay Competition
Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Plc is a General Business and Special Risk Insurance underwriting firm fully capitalised on the line statutory requirements of the industry regulatory body- the National Insurance Commission.
Assessment Process
The assessment shall be on two levels:
1. The first level shall be the students’ departmental assessment panel to be made up by the HODs, which shall forward the best three entries to the company.
2. The second level of assessment shall be by an independent panel of distinguished insurance practitioners to comprise the company, who shall grade the best entries received from the various institutions.
Eligibility for Consolidated Hallmark Essay Competition
Students from 300L/HND1 and above, of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria, studying Insurance or Actuarial Science.

Length of Essay
About 1000 words.
Essay Competition Prize
1. 1st Prize: N250,000 and employment in the company
2. 2nd Prize: N150,000
3. 3rd Prize: 100,000
Essay Competition Criteria
1. Essay must be original works of the student, with clearly acknowledged references.
2. Must be type-written in double line spacing.
3. The students would be judged on content, , and mechanical accuracy.
4. The decision of the judges is final.
Award Ceremony for Consolidated Hallmark Essay Competition
The Top Three Finalists shall be announced at an Awards Ceremony to be graced by Parents/Guardians of winners and a representative of their institutions who shall be sponsored to attend. They will publicise the event in print media.
How to Submit Entries
Interested and qualified candidates should submit their essays to the “Head of Insurance Department” of their institution.
The respective HODs or their representative shall forward the best three entries from their Institutions in PDF format, with contact details of the students (including phone numbers) to while hard copies should be posted to:
