– Delta Electricity Scholarship –
Delta Electricity is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students into their Delta Electricity Scholarship for students. It is a partially funded scholarship for all students.
About Delta Electricity Scholarship
This award was created to honour Delta Electricity’s dedication to higher education. Since 2007, Delta Electricity has offered scholarships at the University of Newcastle, with the goal of providing financial help to undergraduate students studying or living in the Central Coast LGA.
Eligible programs for this scholarship are:
1. Environmental Science
2. Environmental Engineering
3. Mechanical Engineering
4. Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
5. Chemical Engineering
6. Mechatronics Engineering
7. Bachelor of Business

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Be enrolled in an eligible program for this scholarship, being the B Environmental Science, B Business, and Environmental, Mechanical, E&E, Chemical and Mechatronics Engineering programs.
2. Be studying at Central Coast Campus (for relevant programs) and/or be a resident of the Central Coast LGA.
3. Show academic achievement by achieving an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or equivalent of 95 or higher for new students, or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 6.0 for returning students.
4. Be an Australian citizen, Australian Permanent Resident (includes New Zealand Permanent Residents).
5. Not be the recipient of the another University of Newcastle donor-funded or sponsored scholarship concurrently.
Required Documentation
Your application will not be processed unless you provide documentation. Prior to completing the online application procedure, please have all required documents ready to upload as PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPEG, or JPG files.
A personal statement (approx. 1 A4 page) outlining your academic achievements, career aspirations in the relevant area of study, and how this scholarship would assist you.
Awards and acknowledgements, participation in enrichment and travel programs or internships, academic competitions or challenges, your portfolio and/or resume are all examples of that show your academic achievement.
Benefit
The scholarship provides a total benefit of $5000 to be paid as a lump sum paid after the semester one census date.
Selection
They will assess the scholarship application, and any required supporting documents as part of the selection process. Applicants may be interviewed by the Selection .
Shortlisted applicants who are enrolled at our Central Coast Campus may be given priority (in the B Environmental Science and B Business programs).
