– Hagan Scholarship 2022 –

Hagan Scholarship Foundation is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students for their Hagan Scholarship 2022. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students.

About the Scholarship

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship designed to help rural students graduate college debt-free.

The scholarship provides up to $48,000 to help recipients obtain an undergraduate degree and up to $24,000 over two additional years to obtain a graduate degree and other benefits.

Recipients must graduate from an eligible public high school. Hagan Scholars have attended 429 colleges and universities located in 48 states.

Hagan Scholars who have graduated college and have achieved a 3.75 CGPA can extend their Hagan Scholarship for up to two additional years to attend Graduate School, receiving $6,000 each semester.

Scholarship Value

Up to $68,000 over four years. 

Hagan Scholarship: Up to $48,000

Additional Benefits:

1. First Year: $1,000 to purchase essential items for college

2. Second Year: $1,000 to establish a personal brokerage account

3. Third Year: Up to $8,000 to Study/Travel abroad, or to study abroad for one semester.

4. Fourth Year: Up to $10,000 in earnings from managing the HSF brokerage account.

Eligibility for Hagan Scholarship

1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

2. Must attend an Eligible Public High School.

3. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average.

4. Must be in the top 20% of the high school graduating class. Must be confirmed by the high school counselor.

5. Must enrol at an Eligible Four-Year College or University the first semester following high school graduation.

6. Must maintain four years or fewer graduation schedule in college.

7. Must work 240 hours during the twelve months prior to fall semester college enrollment. Employment must be regularly scheduled work performed under supervision for compensation.

8. Must provide a complete copy of the FAFSA SAR showing the EFC.

9. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.

10. Must not have a felony conviction.

Note:

1. It is not necessary to be the top student in the class. The average Hagan Scholar is ranked 9th in a class of 107 students.

2. The intended recipient of a Hagan Scholarship is a high-achieving student having clear goals and a willingness to perform the work necessary to achieve those goals and a genuine financial need in order to attend college.

Application Timeline

1. Applications are reviewed for eligibility as well as compliance with the instructions.

2. Applicants are notified of their status.

3. Finalists provide supplemental information.

4. Scholarships awarded March 2022.

5. Eligible Finalists not awarded a scholarship receive $3,000

6. Scholarships awarded in March 2022.
