International Students Academic Merit Scholarship is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by East Tennessee State University (ETSU).
About the Scholarship
In Johnson City, Tennessee, there is a public institution called East Tennessee State University. The university is managed by an institutional Board of Trustees while being a part of the State University and Community College System of Tennessee.
New international students who meet the requirements and are pursuing a graduate or undergraduate degree are eligible for the international students academic merit scholarship.
Benefits of International Students Academic Merit Scholarship
1. Undergraduate students: Up to $12,500.
2. Graduate students: Masters level students up to $5000 and Doctoral students up to $9,000.

1. Apply for admission to ETSU undergraduate admissions, graduate admissions).
2. Have or plan to have an F-1 or J-1 student visa (F-1 Visa information, J-1 Visa information).
3. Have a demonstrated record of academic achievement.
Selection Criteria
All applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered for the scholarship:
1. Minimum 3.0 high school GPA on the US 4.0 scale (freshman applicants)
2. Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA on the US 4.0 scale (undergraduate transfer applicants and graduate applicants)
3. Applicants who qualify for the scholarship will receive notice of the award in their admission letter.
For undergraduate students who wish to accept the scholarship, you must complete and submit a scholarship acceptance form during the new student check-in process.
