Keio University Undergraduate Scholarship is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by Keio University.
About the Scholarship
, abbreviated as Keio or Keidai, is a private research university located in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It is the oldest institute of western in Japan.
Its founder, Fukuzawa Yukichi, originally established it as a school for Western studies in 1858 in Edo.
The Scholarships are for undergraduate students who are incoming first-year students for the 2022-2024 academic year. Candidates exhibiting exceptional academic potentials are especially encouraged to apply.
Benefits of Keio University Undergraduate Scholarship
1. JPY 1,000,000 per year.
2. A part of the scholarship will be used for the payment of admission fee and academic fees of the Fall semester 2022 required at the time of entering the university.
The rest of the scholarship amount will be paid into the scholarship recipient’s bank account after enrollment.

Requirements for Scholarship
To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must:
1. Be accepted through the Winter AO 2022 (Global) screening [Admissions for the GIGA program] to enter the eligible programs at the university and be enrolled in September 2022.
2. Be an incoming first-year student with foreign nationality.
3. Have maintained a GPA of 2.3 or its equivalent in the previous two years in high school and be expected to maintain during studies at Keio University.
4. Possess English language proficiency required for admission into an undergraduate study program at Keio University, Japan.
