NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship, which is fully funded and sponsored by the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, is presently accepting applications from eligible students.
The NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship
In 1998, this was established as a crucial element of the educational for our local communities, and in 2003, it was expanded to encompass the entire nation of Nigeria.
To date, over N600 million has been expended on this scholarship initiative, benefiting 2,833 undergraduates from a variety of Nigerian universities.
The implementation of online applications and the use of social media, specifically Facebook, in 2012 enhanced the selection process’s efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall reach.
The scholarship’s worth has been raised from N100,000 to N300,000 per recipient per academic year, and it continues throughout the student’s entire academic program.
Eligibility Criteria for NLNG Scholarship Scheme
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must complete all application requirements online and:
1. Applicants must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students in a recognized Nigerian university.
2. Must be a certified 100 or 200 level student when submitting the application.
3. Must provide proof of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or an equivalent certificate.
4. Must present proof of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) score.
5. Must show proof of admission letter from the university and matriculation number.
6. Direct entry applicants are required to provide proof of their A-level or equivalent certificate.

Other Points To Note NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship
1. Applicants who scored less than 200 in the UTME should refrain from applying.
2. Applicants with a CGPA of less than 2.50 on a 5-point scale or its equivalent should not apply.
3. Students who have attained a level above 300 should not submit an application.
4. Applicants who are currently receiving similar awards from other companies or government agencies should not apply.
5. Applicants’ parents should not be employed by NLNG.
Required Documents for NLNG Scholarship Scheme
Applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above are required to provide the following personal and educational details, as well as upload scanned copies of the following documents:
1. A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, with a maximum file size of 200 kilobytes.
2. Applicants must submit their admission letter from the university or JAMB (UTME or D/E).
3. UTME scores.
4. O’ Level result(s) and applicable A’ Level/OND/NCE result(s).
5. Letter of identification from the applicant’s state of origin indicating their local government of origin.
Application Procedure/Process
1. Go to the official NLNG website.
2. Click on the CSR menu and choose Education.
3. Select Scholarship under Education.
4. Click on NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship under the NLNG Scholarship Scheme.
5. Complete the required fields with the necessary information and upload the specified documents.
6. Click on the “Submit Application” button.
