Only candidates studying Engineering, Geology, and Geosciences are eligible for the National Merit Award. For the Host Community merit Award (for students from Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers states,) other fields of study may be considered.

Candidates nominated and finally selected by the awarding BEA countries will be required to submit to the Federal Scholarship Board the following:

1. Authenticated copies of academic certificates;

2. Data page of the current International passport, and

3. Specified Medical Reports,

4. Police clearance certificate where necessary

What to Bring to Interview

All eligible applicants are to report for interviews at the venues scheduled for their respective Zones of origin for proper identification.

Two sets of the Printed, Completed application forms are usually submitted at the various interview centres with the following attachments:

1. Two sets of Photocopies of Educational Certificates and Testimonials of previous schools attended with the originals for sighting;

2. Only one certificate is accepted, that is, WAEC of May/June only for undergraduate applicants

3. Two copies of the Birth certificate from the National Population Commission.
