WAAW Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships 2022 Application Update

WAAW Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the WAAW Foundation.

About the Scholarship

WAAW Foundation was founded in 2007 by Dr. Unoma Okorafor while she was a PhD student, in response to a burning desire to see more women of African descent healthy, educated, and inspired to participate in home and community building.

As a lonely African female voice in Technology, Unoma set out to create sustainable, long-lasting ways to support and educate African women in technology innovation.

WAAW Foundation Scholarship offers $500 for need-based undergraduate female African students admitted to a University, College, or institute of higher learning in Africa.

Requirements for WAAW Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships 

1. Female students of African origin, living and studying in Africa.

2. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate B.S.degree program.

3. Studying STEM-related courses in a University or college in Africa.

4. Demonstrable financial need.

5. Excellent Academic Record.

6. Proven leadership, volunteering, and community service.

7. Below the age of 32 years.

8. Only students in their first and second year are eligible to apply. And also students in their third year if studying a five-year course.
