SEARCA’s Fully Funded Joint Scholarship Program

SEARCA’s fully funded joint Scholarship Program

SEARCA stands for South East Asia regional research centre. SEARCA aims to create a sustainable way for farming families to have better lives.

The study area within the graduate programme has extended over a 50-year period to encompass institutional growth, networking and services that enhance graduate education within the region.

The SEARCA continues its association through networking with the world’s most respected academic institutions and promotes new collaborations with government departments and other businesses.

In a new framework, the collaborative project between Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and SEARCA has been extended for five academic years, beginning in September 2020 and ending in August 2025.

The project originally began in 2012. According to the project, UPM will offer a matching scholarship in the form of a full fee waiver for two years for Master’s degrees and three years for PhD degrees for every full scholarship from SEARCA given to qualified nationals of the eleven SEAMEO member countries who intend to pursue their Master’s or PhD degrees at UPM.

Three scholars have already completed their studies through this cooperative scholarship program, while four more are still enrolled.
