Requirements for SGSAH EARTH Scholarships
Open to PhD and early career researchers (ECRs) enrolled in or with a degree from any non-UK university who are engaged in the environmental arts and humanities to travel to Scotland in 2022 to work with a mentor and utilize networks and resources of a host HEI (Higher Education Institute).
All applicants must be either enrolled in or have already completed a PhD program in an area that is generally considered being in the arts and humanities.
The AHRC provides more information on these topics. Research projects must address topics in the arts and humanities.
For all interdisciplinary PhDs, the arts and humanities must account for at least 50% of the project. Research project submissions using interdisciplinarity methods outside of the Arts & Humanities are actively encouraged by the program.
For the purposes of the Programme, ECRs must be within 1 year of notification of award of their PhD (under exceptional circumstances this can be extended to 2 years).

Documents Required for Application
Applicant must submit:
1. A full research proposal; and details of how you will benefit from Cluster membership, cohort-building, training and development activities.
2. A budget and justification of resources.
3. A CV (up to 4pp).
4. A letter of support from your PhD supervisor (up to 2pp).
5. A letter of support from the proposed Host Institution (Head of Department or equivalent) (up to 2pp).
