Space in Africa PAPSSN Scholarships 2022 Application Update

Space in Africa PAPSSN Scholarships is currently open for applications from suitably qualified students. The scholarship is fully funded for all students and is sponsored by the Space in Africa.

Space in Africa PAPSSN Scholarships

is a company that specializes in media, analytics, and consulting services for the African space and satellite industry.

It was founded by Temidayo Isaiah Oniosun in 2018 and has its headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. The company was a finalist in the Fall 2018 NewSpace Business Plan Competition in Austin, TX.

The Pan-African Planetary and Space Science Network (PAPSSN) is offering scholarships to African nationals in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space and Planetary Science, Planetary Geology, and Remote Sensing.

The main goal of PAPSSN is to support the education of young scientists who can contribute to the large Planetary and Space Science projects that are expected to be active for the next 20 years.

Additionally, the initiative aims to increase the skilled human capital in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and the Planetary & Space Science industries, promoting the creation of skilled workers and STEM entrepreneurs.

The scholarship offered by PAPSSN covers a variety of expenses, including travel costs such as a return air ticket and visa fees, participation expenses like tuition fees.

Also, registration fees, and service fees, insurance coverage for health, accidents, and travel, a settling-in allowance, monthly stipends, and a financial contribution towards the research expenses associated with student mobility of 10 months or more.

PAPSSN consortium is dedicated to providing 50% of its scholarships to women and individuals who belong to underprivileged or marginalized groups.

Requirements for Space in Africa PAPSSN Scholarships

The scholarship offered in the initial PAPSSN call is open to African nationals and residents who are either enrolled or have completed a degree at one of the Higher Education Institutions that are members of the .

However, individuals who have received previous or current intra-ACP or intra-Africa scholarships are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
