THE BENEFITS OF RUNNING OF PUBLIC EDUCATION

In spite of the problems militating against the running of public education in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna state of Nigeria, there are many benefit which could be derived from it include effective communication, availability of technical course effective training of more professionals, effective decision making in public education and adequate documentation of the school records.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

  The purpose of communication is to transmit message by some means to persons communication could be defined as the process of transforming means to others. It is also the

network that binds together all the members and activities which are organization, an administration must therefore, communicate, instruct, direct, request and develop understanding Eden (1982:29) remarked that, the school is an open social system, one of the attributes of which is the capacity to exchange information among people, due to the level of individual members of staff and pupils.

  According to Bruecker (1966:76), communication is a process of passing information, ideas and understanding from one person to another. He confirmed that communication is another pre-requisite effective administration.

  That an administrator is in a position to inform others what is happening with regards to policies, programmes and plan and the problems of the organization.

  Consequently, effective communication among the members of a school could enhance the attainment of the school goals and objective. As Chimah (1978) described communication as a bridge of meaning, it implies a person can safely cross the barrier of misunderstanding that separated all people through communication.

            To Adaralegbe (1974:38), effective communication in a school is the key to good leadership. In effective communication on the other hand, leads to administrative chaos. He further stated that the type of communication that will enhance the running of public education school be the open system of communication which allows free flow of information from downwards, upwards and sideways. In support of this open system of communication. Afolayan (1974:51) emphasized that communication should flow freely in order to avoid misconception and spread rumoring which in the school system for effective running of public education in Kaduna North Local Government Area in Kaduna state of Nigeria.
