Sai Study Abroad Programs: SAI Programs was founded in the year 1995 to serve as the US admissions office for an Italian art institute in Florence.

1. SAI Programs: Study Abroad at Florence University of the Arts

Florence University of the Arts (FUA) is a young, vibrant institution offering liberal arts coursework that takes a contemporary approach to international education.

With small classes taught by highly qualified international faculty, FUA courses aim to enhance the social, intercultural, and professional experience of each student.

In addition to coursework in Arts and Sciences, Communication, and Business, FUA offers unique opportunities for students to enroll in cutting-edge fashion, design, architecture, and fine arts courses, as well as culinary and wine studies courses.

SAI oversees and coordinates all aspects of student enrollment, including application processing, course selection and credit, visa advising, housing, student health insurance, and transcripts.

SAI also provides comprehensive student services, from the moment of application, through the on-site experience, until students return home.

Pre-Requisites for Program/Eligibility

SAI requires a 2.75 GPA to be considered for this program.

This program has a two-step application process:

Step 1) Belmont’s Study Abroad Office application, which requires:

  1. Passport photocopy
  2. Online questionnaires
  3. Signature documents

Step 2) The Provider application, to be completed SIMULTANEOUSLY with Step 1:

  1. You must submit the provider application and all requested documents directly to the provider by the Belmont Abroad Office deadline, regardless of the deadlines set by the provider organization.
  2. Instructions for completing the provider application will be provided on your Belmont Abroad Office application. You should contact the provider directly if you have further questions about the application.
  3. Your application will not be considered complete until you have submitted both the Belmont application and the provider application.

2. SAI Programs: Barcelona – Study Abroad at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona

Students studying abroad in Barcelona immerse themselves in the unique blend of Mediterranean beach lifestyle and European urban culture that defines the city.

Known for its flavorful Mediterranean cuisine, lively nightlife, distinctive architectural and artistic highlights, and welcoming residents, Barcelona inspires visitors and locals alike.

SAI students in Barcelona choose from six distinct partner schools: Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Elisava School of Design, CETT School of Tourism, Hospitality & Gastronomy, and IQS Barcelona.

SAI’s Barcelona office offers a welcome space for students to study and relax. Program inclusive activities in Barcelona may include cooking courses, trips to beaches, human castles workshops, soccer games, and more. Weekend excursions take students to Costa Brava, Seville, or another historic city.

In partnership with John Cabot University (JCU), SAI offers students the opportunity to pursue an exceptional academic and cultural education in one of the most inspiring cities in the world.

John Cabot University offers a liberal arts curriculum taught entirely in English and the school draws professors from around the world who are committed to a multicultural environment, and to impart a global understanding. Semester elective programs are available for students wishing to earn between 12 -17 US credits.

Admission to John Cabot’s study abroad program is based on a review of the following items:

  1. Completed application form.
  2. $50/€50 Application fee. Please note that only U.S. and Canadian citizens may pay in dollars.
  3. Official transcript from your current university. Transcripts not in English or Italian must be accompanied by a certified English language translation.
  4. Evidence of English Language Proficiency (for students who have studied in an English language institution for fewer than two years)

4. SAI Programs: Sorrento – Sant’Anna Institute

At the Sant’Anna Institute, SAI offers summer, semester, and yearlong programs with a focus on Language, Art and Archaeology, Literature, Social Studies, Business, Natural Sciences, and Liberal Arts courses.

Sorrento is considered one of the loveliest cities in Italy with its lemon groves, flower gardens, and nearby beaches lie close to many nature preserves and historic sites such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Capri.

At the core of the SAI program in Sorrento is the unique and varied coursework offered by the international faculty at the Sant’Anna Institute.

5. SAI Programs: Paris – Study Abroad at the American University of Paris

The American University of Paris (AUP) is one of the oldest American institutions of higher learning in Europe, offering a fully US-accredited liberal arts curriculum.

AUP courses are taught in English, with additional electives available in French. The curriculum is discipline-based, comparative, and cross-cultural, including a wide range of academic subjects.
