The Enugu State is one of thirty-six states of Nigeria. The Enugu State is a state of southeastern Nigeria. The social capital is Enugu Ogbete is a commercial city is an old colonial city of British government.
The state was founded in 1991. It was part of the state Anambra and its citizens are predominantly Igbo. At least 95% of the population is Igbo.
It is one of the constituent states of the delta region of the Niger. The name Enugu is an abbreviation of four densely populated regions of the state that are Oji river, Oku Nanu, and Audi.
Its official language is English, but the traditional language is Igbo. The people of Enugu are mostly Christians. They are known to be oriented business; they are very friendly, probably due to their migratory character.
The state of Enugu has donated 17 local government areas (LGA).
The current leader is the Governor Sulivan I. Chime (2006-2014) as at the time of this article). This state is been with beautiful architecture and some tourist sites, but not quite like other parts of the United States since it was just recently that created Nigeria.
We will try to mention existent tourist sites in the state. In this chapter we show the positive aspects and problems of tourism in Enugu State.
