The management of the University of Ibadan (UI) has released the JAMB and Departmental cut-off marks for the 2020/2021 academic session admission exercise.
The University of Ibadan (UI) is the oldest Nigerian university. The origins of the university are in Yaba College, founded in 1932 in Yaba, Lagos, as the first tertiary educational institute in Nigeria.
Yaba College was transferred to Ibadan, becoming the University College of Ibadan, in 1948. The university was founded on its own site on 17 November 1948. It is popularly known as Unibadan or UI.
History of the University of Ibadan
The University of Ibadan is apparently the best university in Nigeria currently. It is the first and most popular university in Nigeria too.
As a way of fighting colonialism in Nigeria, UI was established in 1946 to educate and enlighten Nigerians on the evils associated with colonialism.
The University of Ibadan has produced thousands of great personalities. Take, for instance, people like; Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka, etc, actually studied in this university. This should explain to you why the school is respected and very competitive in Nigeria.
University of Ibadan Undergraduate Admission Portal
UI admission portal for undergraduates is a place where you get all the required information on UI admission. Furthermore, you can monitor your admission process through the portal. The link to the University of Ibadan admission portal is
University of Ibadan Post UTME Registration
A screening fee of N2,000.00 will be paid through the admission portal in favor of the University of Ibadan (Admission Processing Fee Account). Your Full Name, JAMB Registration Number, Telephone Number, and E-mail address should be quoted at the point of payment.
After you have successfully paid, you should proceed on the portal to submit your bio-data, O’level results, and other credentials. If you have successfully registered on the UI portal, then other activities on the platform are easy.
It means that if you want to check Post-JAMB result, UI change of course form, admission list, and payment of acceptance fees, you only need to log in to the portal with your username (JAMB registration number) and your password.

B. The UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN ACCEPTS FIVE CREDITS AT ONE SITTING OR SIX CREDITS AT TWO SITTINGS IN THE FOLLOWING FACULTIES

3. Education
4. Law
5. Science
6. Technology
7. The Social Sciences
8. Veterinary Medicine
[Candidates should please note that it is only when an ‘O’ level result is deficient for a course of choice, that another result may be presented to complement the deficient one.
Candidates presenting two ‘O’ level results (2 Sittings) should ensure that the comprehensive details of both results are submitted.

JAMB cut-off mark for the 2020/2021 academic session admission exercise is: 200.
Departmental:
Remember: AGGREGATE SCORE = ( ( JAMB SCORE / 8) + (PUTME SCORE / 2 ). i.e. If your jamb score is 200 and post utme score is 50, then your aggregate score will be 50.
