UNIJOS IJMB Students Resumption Date 2024/2025 Academic Session

The management of the University of Jos, UNIJOS has released the resumption date for its IJMB students to commence the 2024/2025 academic session. Continue reading to see more details below.

The University of Jos hereby announces the resumption of academic activities for its IJMB Programme under the NON-NUC Funded Programmes (NNUCFP) for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.

About the University of Jos

What became the University of Jos was established in November 1971 from the  of the . The first students were admitted in January 1972 as pre-degree students and the first  degree program begun in October 1973.

In October 1975, then  under General  established the Unijos as a separate institution.

The first  of the Unijos was Professor Gilbert Onuaguluchi. Classes began at the newly reorganized University of Jos in October 1976 with 575 students spreading over the existing four faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Education, Natural Sciences and Medical Sciences.

Post-graduate Programs

Post-graduate programs were added in 1977. By 1978 Faculties of Law and Environmental Sciences were established and the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences was separated.

In 2003, the  gave Unijos a $2 million grant to form its own fundraising department.

Admission Requirements

Interested candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in the following subjects, English Language and Mathematics inclusive: History, Government, Economics, Accounting, Commerce, Geography, CRS, IRS, Hausa, Arabic Language and Literature in English.

How to Apply for UNIJOS IJMB Form

Application forms are available online and can be obtained on the University website: upon payment of the sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Naira only (N7,500) through the Remita Payment Platform with effect from.

PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING THE FORM:

  1. Visit the Remita () account and click on Federal Government Agency
  2. Name of MDS- Click “University of Jos”
  3. Name of Service- Click “IJMB Programme”
  4. Purpose- Click “Purchase of forms”
  5. Provide a personal and functional email and phone numbers
  6. Codes will be sent to the email/phone numbers
  7. Candidates can then access the forms on-line
  8. Candidates are expected to print a hard copy of the submitted online form

SUBMISSION OF FORMS:

All candidates are expected to submit a hardcopy of the completed forms to the office of the Senior Deputy Registrar, Non-NUC Funded Programmes, University of Jos, Room 106 Academic Block, Bauchi Road Campus or IJMB Coordinator’s Office, Township Campus, Murtala Mohammed Way, Jos.

The management of the (UNIJOS) has released her admission. All the candidates that participated in the University of Jos (UNIJOS) post UTME screening exercise can now check their admission status online.

  2. Also, supply your JAMB registration number in the required column.
  3. Finally, click on the ‘Get Started’ button to access your admission status and registration procedure.

Alternatively, you can also access your UNIJOS admission status from the JAMB admission status checking portal, by following the procedure outlined below:

  1. Go .
  2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
  3. Also, scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status
  4. Furthermore, select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the required columns.
  5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status’ to access your UNIJOS admission status.

Candidates Eligible for UNIJOS Post UTME Screening Exercise

This is to inform candidates who made the (UNIJOS) their institution of the first choice and scored 180 and above in the 2020 UTME that the University screening portal will be opened from 14th September 2020 for the UTME and the Direct Entry online screenings.

University of Jos Direct Entry Screening

This is to inform all candidates who applied for Direct Entry admission into the University of Jos, that there will be an online screening exercise from 14th September 2020.

Also, please note that only candidates who applied through JAMB for Direct Entry Admission and chose the University of Jos as their First Choice are eligible for the screening.

Also, any candidate who fails to do the ON-LINE Screening will not be considered for admission. Thus, follow the same procedure as UTME candidates to participate in the screening exercise.

UNIJOS IJMB Resumption Date

Students admitted into the Programme are to note that payment of the prescribed fees for the Session resumes immediately while Sessional Registration and Lectures will commence on Tuesday 1st December 2020.

Students should also note that adherence to the COVID-19 Safety Protocols especially uses of Face Masks, Sanitizers and Social Distancing will be strictly enforced.

Meantime,  for the 2024/2025 Academic Session are still on sale. Interested Applicants can purchase the Forms at the cost of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N7,500.00) only.
