The Foundation Programmes of the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of Lagos were initiated in 1998, with the objective of providing additional training opportunities to qualified youths of the Nation.
This was in the overall educational interest of our growing young population in need of opportunities for further studies in both Nigeria, the United Kingdom and elsewhere in the world.
It contributes to the efforts of the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in expanding access to tertiary education and quality products from the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University System.
In the last sixteen years of its existence, the Foundation Programmes (formerly Diploma II) have progressively provided avenues for successful candidates to gain direct admission into the 200 level of the degree programmes of the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of Lagos, through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and into any of the approved tertiary institutions in Nigeria and our partnering Universities in the United Kingdom and China.

UNILAG Foundation Admission 2021
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates into the School of Foundation Studies, the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of Lagos for the 2023/2024 Academic Session.
Highly successful candidates after an approved examination administered by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), are eligible for consideration for Direct Entry admission into the 200 Level of the Degree Programmes of the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University through JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board).
One could gain admission into the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of Bedfordshire, the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of Central Lancashire, the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of the West of England, De Montfort https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University, Leicester, https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of Birmingham, (UK) the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of Aberdeen, Scotland, and Soochow https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University, China.

The School of Foundation Studies will provide an intensive one-year programme, teaching subjects in line with the JUPEB Syllabus for admission according to the following subject combination groupings:
UNILAG Foundation Application Procedure
- Visit the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of Lagos website ()
- On the prospective student’s menu, click on the School of Foundation Studies
- Go through the information on subject combinations relevant to your proposed choice of course of study for Direct Entry admission. Please note that changes have been made on the previous combinations.
- Complete the Pre-Application Form to obtain a payment reference number (PRN) using the applicant’s names.
UNILAG Foundation Cost of Application Form
(including online practice tests (excluding Bank Charges)): N25, 000.00 (non-refundable).
- Make payment at any Commercial bank in Nigeria with the payment reference number (PRN)
- Return to the https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University website, click on the School of Foundation Studies, and click on continue Application. Log in with PRN and applicant’s surname in lowercase as password.
- Complete the application form, print two copies for yourself
- Examination pass will be available online a week before the examination date. Print a copy and bring it to the examination venue.
N.B.: Please read the information on the subject combination relevant to your course of study before completing the application forms online.
Is the UNILAG Foundation Application Out?
The Application opened on Monday, 24th August 2021, the Examination Dates will be communicated to the applicants. But take note of the following:
- Mode of Examination: Computer-Based Testing (Please check the Unilag Website a week before examination to verify your examination date).
- All questions are Multiple Choice.
- Examination subjects are: Mathematics, English Language (20 questions each), and 3 other relevant subjects (according to candidates choice of subject combination (15 questions each), making a total of 85 questions to be answered in (1) hour.
- All candidates must be at the designated venues (according to the schedule on the Examination Pass) two hours before the scheduled Examination time.
- The https://innaija.com.ng/school-news/www-foundation-unilag-edu-ng-portal/University of Lagos has zero-tolerance for drug abuse, sexual harassment, examination malpractice, and other anti-social behavior.
UNILAG Foundation Acceptance Procedures
- Login into the foundations portal with application number as matric number and surname as password
- Complete the bio-data form and download the pay advice.
- Proceed to any branch of the specif
ied fee collecting banks to make payment. - Return to the foundations portal to download the acceptance letter.
Note: Candidates who do not accept the offer of admission by 31st October will be dropped from the admission list.
UNILAG Foundation Admission Eligibility
- Candidates who have two A-level passes, HND holders, and graduates of recognized Institutions are exempted from the entrance examination and may be considered for admission into the School of Foundation Studies.
