 Hi guys! Have you recently been admitted into the University Of Ilorin or are you a returning student looking for the UNILORIN Academic Calendar for the 2021/2022 academic session? If so, you have come to the right place. In this post, I will share with you the most recent and updated UNILORIN academic calendar.

This is to notify the general public, especially newly admitted candidates and returning students, that the University of Ilorin’s management has published the official academic calendar for the 2021/2022 academic session.

About University of Ilorin

The University began in 1975 as a  affiliated with the . Dr. T.N. Tamuno who was a  and Head of the History Department at the University of Ibadan was appointed the first Principal of the College in September 1975. By December 1975, Tamuno was appointed the  of the University of Ibadan.

As a result, Professor O.O. Akinkugbe was appointed as the new Principal for the University of Ilorin (then, a University College) in 1975. Akinkugbe was the former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ibadan.

The first set of 200 students were admitted on 23 October 1976 following an entrance examination and academic work started on 25 October 1976 following the Principal’s address.

History of the University of Ilorin

The University College started with three academic faculties: Arts, Science and Education. The University started off on a portion of the temporary campus of the known as the mini-campus.

The Mini Campus

The mini-campus was the site of academic programs for the Faculties of Arts, Science, Education, Engineering & Technology, Business, and Social Sciences, and Basic Clinical Sciences section of the Health Sciences Faculty.

All operations of the University were conducted on the mini-campus until January 1982 when more than 1000 students studying in sciences were moved to the permanent site of the institution following the completion of new Faculty blocks and residences for Natural Sciences and Engineering in the site.

The Law Program

In 1983, the law program was established as a Department under the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. Following a 6-year hiatus, the Law Department was accorded a full-fledged Faculty status in 1993.

Candidates seeking admission into the University of Ilorin are to be checking the JAMB’s CAPS for their admission status from time to time.

They should also always check the TRANSFER APPROVAL option on the JAMB CAPS to know if they’re being transferred to another course. Many have failed to check this waiting to be notified via SMS. All the best

The authorities University of Ilorin, UNILORIN has released the admission list for the 2020/2021 academic session. All the candidates that participated in the University of Ilorin post UTME screening exercise can now check their admission status online.

The Admission List

Admission lists are the names of successfully admitted applicants offered provisional admission into an institution. Admission lists are usually released by institutions after the conduct of admission screening exercise, it come in different batches: 1st Batch is (Merit List) followed by 2nd, 3rd, and other Batches.

All the candidates that participated in the University of Ilorin post UTME screening exercise can now check their admission status online.

About the University of Ilorin Calendar

The (UNILORIN) academic calendar contains all important academic activities that have been scheduled to take place in the University for the 2021/2022 academic session. All students and lecturers of the school are hereby informed.
