This is to inform all UTME candidates that participated in the University of Maiduguri, UNIMAID Post UTME screening exercise that the management has released the names of successfully admitted candidates.
Admission lists are usually released by institutions after the conduct of the admission screening exercise. It comes in different batches; 1st batch (Merit List), followed by 2nd, 3rd and other Batches.

About the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID)
(UNIMAID) is a Federal higher institution located in Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State in northeast Nigeria.
The University of Maiduguri was created in 1975 as one of the second-generation Universities. It formed part of the programmes of the Third National Development plan (1975-80) by the then Military Government.
The University of Maiduguri shall be an institution dedicated to scholarship and learning in the Arts, Sciences, Humanities and Technology, and the development of the moral and civic character of all persons.

Procedure to Check Status on UNIMAID Admission List
Currently, UNIMAID prospective students can only access their admission status on the JAMB admission status checking portal by following the procedure outlined below:
1. Go to the JAMB admission portal at .
2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
4. Select your Exam year and enter your registration number in the required column.
5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your UNIMAID admission status.
Successfully admitted candidates are advised to:
➢ Login to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.
➢ Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.
➢ Print their original JAMB result slip (this comes with passport photography affixed to it).
➢ Apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal in case they are offered courses different from the ones they initially applied for.
Candidates not yet admitted should note that admission is in progress. Regularly check the JAMB site and the University’s website for their admission status.

UNIMAID Fresh and Returning Registration Procedures
1. Print your JAMB Admission and slip on the JAMB website () using your email address and password to login to your portal.
2. Report to your respective College and Faculty to collect your University Admission Letter and present yourself for screening with the following documents:
➢ JAMB Admission Letter
➢ JAMB Slip
➢ Online Screening Evidence
➢ A’ Level Certificate (DE Student only)
➢ O’ Level Certificate
➢ Primary School Certificate
➢ Certificate of Birth
➢ Certificate of indigene
3. After the successful screening, log on to with your ID No as username and ID No as password follow the steps and change password and confirm the login through your email, fill in your Biodata,
➢ Generate Remita from www.portal.unimaid.edu.ng only and proceed to the bank for payment.
➢ Or you can pay online
➢ Return to the portal and confirm your payment
➢ Your courses are automatically uploaded.
➢ You can Preview your courses add or delete elective courses and any other courses.
➢ Print three copies of the registration forms and submit them to your level coordinator.
Procedure for Returning Students
➢ Log on to www.portal.unimaid.edu.ng with your email or ID No as username and password,
➢ Generate Remita and proceed to the bank for payment
➢ Or you can pay online
➢ Return to the portal and confirm your payment
➢ Preview your courses
➢ You can add or delete elective courses and any other courses,
➢ Then print three copies of the registration forms and submit to your level coordinator.
