You must be a people person and must have an analytical mind because as a manager, you act as a liaison to third-party reviewers and payers and also implement strategic changes based on your patterns and trends analysis.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree, RN license plus five years of leadership experience in a hospital, health plan, or revenue cycle company.
You must also have knowledge of the appeals and denial process, and also be skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Provider Relations Advocate
The holder of this position is the primary contact point to all UnitedHealth providers and as such, plays an important role in creating and maintaining trust between providers and their patients.
You will also design and implement strategies to build positive relationships between the health plan, physicians, and practice managers; therefore you will need to have an engaging personality.
You will also direct and implement strategies regarding the development and management of a provider network.
This position requires an undergraduate degree or its equivalent, two years of experience working with physicians, health systems, or hospitals plus two years of experience with claims and issue resolution and creating and delivering presentations.
