How to Study in New Zealand Without IELTS

  • It should clearly state the medium of instruction was English, irrespective of the board or country of study. Applicants must provide proof of attending an English medium school from at least classes 8 to 12.
  • Additionally, you can submit proof that you have completed 5 years of English-medium education at the primary level or 3 years at the secondary level
  • A New Zealand Immigration authority interview is required for students who do not have IELTS to apply for a study visa in New Zealand.
  • New Zealand’s University of Canterbury requires international students to provide evidence that they have a proficiency in English by completing an academic qualification from an English-medium institute or an English-medium country.
  • Lincoln University has an English language program that is easier than IELTS offered by the University of Auckland, New Zealand. All English Language Proficiency Requirements are waived for students who successfully complete this course.
  • Additionally, the candidate may qualify for admission to the University of Otago if they do not meet any of the above criteria.
