University of London Postgraduate Scholarships 2022 Application Update

– University of London Postgraduate Scholarships –

St George’s, University of London is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students for their University of London Postgraduate Scholarships. It is a fully-funded scholarship for all students.

About the Scholarship

St George’s, University of London (legal name St George’s Hospital Medical School, informally St George’s or SGUL), is a medical school located in Tooting in South London and is a constituent college of the University of London.

St George’s has its origins in 1733 and was the second institution in England to provide formal training courses for doctors (after the University of Oxford).

St George’s affiliated with the University of London soon after the latter’s establishment in 1836.

The Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme at St George’s is competitive; the University selects applicants who show academic excellence and illustrate how they will go on to make a difference after their time with us.

Aim of University of London Masters Scholarships

1. The scholarship covers full tuition fees and a maintenance grant of £17,000 to cover living expenses.

Requirements for University of London Masters Scholarships

1. Applicants must have completed an application for the course, either full-time or part-time study

2. Applicants must not already be qualified at Masters’s level or above (e.g. Ph.D.)

3. Applicants must be self-funding (courses fully funded by the NHS or students receiving employer or sponsor funding are not eligible)

4. Applicants must have or be predicted to obtain at least a 2:1

5. Applicants must be from a low-income, lower-middle-income, or upper-middle-income country as defined by the World Bank.

Assessment Criteria

1. If you are a Home (UK) or International (EU or non-EU) applicant applying for a taught postgraduate program that has a scholarship, you will be automatically considered for the scholarship, providing you apply by the deadline (1 July 2022).

2. You do not need to submit an additional application form. However, you may be asked to attend a physical or virtual interview.

3. Successful candidates will be those whom the Scholarship Committee considers will make a positive contribution to the academic environment at St George’s and achieve the highest scores.

2. Your personal statement

3. Your interview

4. Your references
