Utrecht University Masters Scholarship 2022 Application Update

Utrecht University Masters Scholarship is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by the Utrecht University.

About the Scholarship

With the help of this scholarship, a select group of exceptionally gifted future students will have the chance to enroll in one of the Graduate School of Law, Economics, and Governance’s English-taught Master’s programs and get their degree.

The Faculty hopes to contribute to and invest in exceptional overseas students who have demonstrated the best accomplishment in their career thus far through this competitive scholarship program.

This may be determined by the caliber of their academic work, the outcomes of their prior education, the students’ involvement in society, or their job goals.

The scholarship makes the classroom more diverse and international. Every year, about 6 UES-LEGITS are given out.

Benefits of Utrecht University Masters Scholarship

1. For students who will have to pay the statutory tuition fee (EU/EEA students): €11.000.

2. For students who will have to pay the institutional tuition fee (non-EU/EEA students): tuition fee plus the required income linked to a residence permit for study as set by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service, for one year.

Requirements for Utrecht University Masters Scholarship

If you are an eligible candidate you will be selected for a scholarship on the basis of the following criteria:

1. Your academic quality and results of the preceding education, as evidence, for example, by grades, test scores, publications, letters of recommendation;

2. Your career vision, promise in the proposed field of study;

3. Your societal engagement (e.g. extracurricular activities)

4. The quality and relevance of your motivation letter for the Master’s program;

5. The quality of the application itself (completeness, accuracy, consistency)

In order to be awarded this scholarship you should:

1. Hold a non-Dutch secondary education degree;

2. Have been admitted to one of the English taught Master’s programs of the Graduate School of Law, Economics and Governance with a start date of 1 September 2022;
