Vanguard Account Login: This article is going to provide you some guide on how to reset you Vanguard account as well as offering you the registration guide.
If you need to retrieve both your user name and my password
You can go to our Log on help page to recover your user name and/or reset your password.
Recover your user name
If you follow the instructions on the Log on help page, your user name will be displayed on the screen. If your user name was all that you needed, you can stop here and return to the log on screen.
Reset your password
If you’ve forgotten your password, you’ll then be given an option to have a temporary password emailed to you. You’ll be required to change your temporary password when you log on (the new password can be the same as your original password).
Registering for Vanguard Online
1. Visit vanguard.com.au/adviserlogin and select the ACCESS VANGUARD ONLINE button.
2. This will take you through to the Vanguard Online secure login page where you can select to Register for access to Vanguard Online.
3. Read and ACCEPT the terms and conditions of use.
♦ Enter your account information and verify identity
Select to register as an ADVISER.
Enter your adviser number. Your adviser number can be found in the Vanguard welcome email/letter you would have received following your clients’ first transaction with us. For assistance confirming your adviser number, please call Vanguard Adviser Services on 1300 655 205, 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (Melbourne time), or email [email protected].
Enter your phone number, Please use either the mobile, home or work telephone number that you have registered with Vanguard Adviser Services. Please use state codes where applicable.
Enter your email address
Please enter the email address you most recently provided to Vanguard Adviser Services.
3. Create your username
Create a Vanguard Online username
Your username must be between 6-12 characters in length.
Please retain a secure copy of this username for your records. Your username is not case sensitive. Select a security question from the drop-down menu.
Security question and answer functionality is a new feature of Vanguard Online, providing even greater security for your Vanguard Online account.
Next to ‘Your answer’ enter a response to your selected
security question.
The answer to your security question should be something that is simple for you to remember, but difficult for others to guess.
How to Recover Your Account.
If you have forgotten your Vanguard Online username or password, you can now use our self-service recovery functionality to have it reset.
Forgotten username
1. On the Vanguard Online login page, select the link
2. Select the ‘I have forgotten my username’ option.
3. To retrieve your Vanguard Online username, you will need to verify your adviser number and registered email address.
Your adviser number can be found in the Vanguard welcome email/letter you would have received following your clients’ first transaction with us.

5. Your Vanguard Online username will be sent to the email address you most recently provided to Vanguard Adviser Services. Please keep a secure copy of your username for
your records.
Forgotten password
1. On the Vanguard Online login page, select the link Forgotten your username/password?
2. Select the ‘I have forgotten my password’ option.
3. To reset your password, you will need to verify your Vanguard Online username and adviser number.

4. A temporary password will be sent to your registered email address.
Please note: for security purposes, your temporary password will expire within five days.
5. To create your permanent password for Vanguard Online, return to the Vanguard Online login page, enter your username and temporary password and select LOGIN.
6. To create your new password for Online, simply enter your username and temporary password, followed by your new password then select SUBMIT.
Once your new password has been created, you will need to re-accept the terms and conditions of use before you can login to Vanguard Online with your new password and
username.
Once logged in, you will be prompted to reset your security question and answer.
