The Miss America Organization, which is made up of more than 50 , is in charge of millions of dollars in scholarship aid at the local, state, and national levels.
Miss America alone awarded nearly $6 million in scholarships in 2014.
Miss America Scholar, Miss America Community Service Scholarship, and a few others are among the awards available from the organization.
Women pursuing careers in this historically male-dominated field can also apply for a one-of-a-kind STEM program scholarship.

2. United Negro College Fund
The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) is well-known for providing scholarship funds to more than 10,000 students each year.
However, UNCF is one of the best college scholarships and the nation’s largest minority scholarship provider.
UNCF offers over 400 different scholarships, internships, and fellowships to low- to moderate-income students who would not have been able to attend college otherwise.
The Merck Undergraduate Science Research Scholarship Awards are one of the most unique UNCF scholarship programs.
With awards ranging from $35,000 to $85,000 for students in bioscience and biotechnology programs.

3. The Gates Millennium Scholars Program
The Gates Millennium Scholars Program is one of the largest scholarships provided by the United Negro College Fund (UNCF).
This program seeks to assist an average of 1,000 college students each year, with an award of nearly $13,000 per student between 2000 and 2014.
The Gates Millennium Scholars Program, alongside several post-secondary awards, is a $1.6 million initiative designed to assist minorities in pursuing a college education.

4. Davidson Fellows Scholarships
Although the Davidson Fellows Scholarship program does not have as high annual giving goals as some of the other programs on this list, it is notable for its individual high-dollar awards.
The award is one of the world’s most prestigious undergraduate scholarships, with $50,000, $25,000, and $10,000 scholarships available.
This opportunity is awarded to who have made significant contributions in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literature, music, and philosophy.
Students may be eligible for an additional “Outside the Box” award. Since its inception, the Davidson Institute has awarded 286 scholarships totalling more than $6.7 million.
